Due to the settling in period for us & our birds we are now pleased to announce that all flying activities & photographic days have commenced as from the 6th April 2008. It took us & our birds a little longer than anticipated to adapt to their new environment.

The purpose of re-locating was simply because the Brockworth site was too small for us & the birds we have in our care, re-locating supports the expansion of our aims & objectives in the field of Education, Conservation & Bird Welfare.

The new location at Netheridge Farm (images below) boasts many redundant buildings, all in need of repair. In addition the Farm as fields that cover an area of 12½ acres, future plans will be to create an Environmental Centre for Gloucestershire with the improvement of on-site habitats conditions to attract more wildlife to the area.  A section of land close to the aviaries where our birds are kept will be allocated as a flying field.

Netheridge Farm is much different than what we had at the Brockworth site; at Brockworth we had very little freedom to operate effectively with a small area of approximately 3500sq ft, too small to accommodate the expansion of our charity. All in all, moving has been big step for us as a charity for which we would like to thank those who offer us support.

Images seen below are of Netheridge Farm.

This shows the number of buildings that will form our new Centre. Some buildings will be made accessible in support of localised wildlife such as Owls, Swallows & Bats etc.

Indoor flying area & multi-media presentation facility for schools & group bookings etc.

It is important to note that our new address will only be open to pre-arranged visits until we have created a visiting Centre we have dreamed of, pre-arranged visits will include an array of activities, nest box sales & rescue work. A proposed Visitors Centre is in the planning stages & should be open in the future.

If you have any queries or questions regarding our move please do not hesitate to contact Vincent Jones (Centre Director/Trustee by telephone: 01452 383999.

This is a positive way forward & with your support we can achieve a special place for all to enjoy & appreciate.

A big thank you to everyone who supports us.
